How To Make Crispy Chicken In The Air Fryer

Air fryers have become a popular kitchen appliance in recent years due to their ability to fry food with little to no oil.

One of the most popular dishes to make in an air fryer is crispy chicken.

In this blog post, we'll discuss how to make crispy chicken in the air fryer.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F / 204°C for 5 minutes.

In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Dip each chicken piece in the beaten eggs, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to cover all sides.

Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then place the chicken pieces in the basket, making sure they are not touching each other.

Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 20-25 minutes, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time.

Once the chicken is cooked through and crispy, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Tips:

For extra crispy chicken, spray the chicken with cooking spray before cooking in the air fryer.

If you're using larger chicken pieces, increase the cooking time by a few minutes.

You can also use different seasonings to customize the flavor of the chicken, such as cumin, chili powder, or smoked paprika.

Serve the crispy chicken with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or barbecue sauce.

Making crispy chicken in the air fryer is a quick and easy way to enjoy this classic dish without all the added oil and calories.

By following these simple instructions and tips, you can create perfectly crispy chicken every time.
